Irfan Khan is president of the SAP Platform and Technologies business with Global Sales and GTM responsibility for all database, data management, and analytics assets of the company including SAP HANA, EIM, middleware, cloud data warehousing, analytics, and innovation technologies.

Irfan’s responsibilities also extend to leading SAP’s IaaS (HEC) and PaaS business centered around the SAP Cloud Platform solutions, which enable customers to implement digital transformation, utilizing modern digital innovations around blockchain, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and IoT scenarios.

Over the past decade, Irfan has held various senior executive positions across SAP GTM functions; his prior role was global head of SAP’s Database and Data Management organization as well as the overall SAP CTO for SAP’s global field organization.

Irfan joined SAP through the acquisition of Sybase Inc., where he was senior vice president and CTO. He spent almost two decades in various executive leadership positions across engineering, marketing, and sales.

Irfan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Professional awards include Recipient of the Infoworld CTO Top 25 award. He is also a published author: New Data Imperative: Managing Real-Time Risk in Capital Markets.
